Booking: Terms & Conditions

1. Booking

Your booking is confirmed as soon as the deposit funds have cleared, you have received our confirmation email and any queries on the booking form resolved.

Deposits payable are as follows

2. Paying

The balance of the total booking amount needs to be received at least 12 weeks prior to your stay with GourmetSki, otherwise we reserve the right to treat your stay as cancelled - cancellation charges will then be adhered to. In the event of your holiday being booked with less than 12 weeks to go until your date of arrival the whole amount must be paid.

Payment can be made by card (excluding Amex) via our online payment system, bank transfer, euro cheque or cash. GourmetSki is however not responsible for any bank handling charges for bank transfers and these will be added to your end bill if the funds received are not exact to the requested amount.

3. Standard Cancellations:

Cancellations must be notified in writing to GourmetSki.com. The following cancellation charges will apply:

The amount reimbursed will not take into account any currency fluctuations that are out of our control and will be the exact % of the amount that we have received. GourmetSki is also not responsible for any bank handling charges.

COVID19 UPDATE:

In light of the current pandemic we have adjusted our cancellation policies;

If you need to cancel your holiday or if we need to close the chalet (due to Government restrictions/guidelines) then any non returnable deposits paid will be rolled for 18 months from the original start date of your holiday, where you can use them against another stay with us.

During these exceptional times we propose to accept the balance of your stay at 4 weeks from the start of your holiday or on arrival at the chalet upon request. Should your holiday be cancelled due to the above reasons then we will issue a refund on the whole amount minus the deposits paid (which will be rolled as described above).

4. Damages:

Any damages, including accidental breakages of items within reason, must be paid for in full, prior to leaving the chalet. This is at the management's discretion.

5. Travel insurance

Travel insurance is compulsory for all guests and be suited for your reason for travel.

6. Children

Children are most welcome at our chalet, but must remain under the supervision of their parents. We have toys and equipment available for our young guests to use throughout their stay.

7. For self catered bookings

For any self-catered bookings a £1000/1000€ security deposit will asked for on arrival in cash (or cheque/bank transfer) and is refunded based on the chalet being left in the condition it was received in at the end of the stay and any breakages and additional cleaning charges are taken into consideration.

8. Additional charges

Charges will be made clear at the time of request for any extra services outside of the norm for our fully catered winter chalet offering which can be found here. GourmetSki does not charge a credit card handling fee, and can also accept cash or bank transfer.

If paying by Bank transfers, you are responsible for bank charges and the amount received is the amount due.

9. Transportation

GourmetSki offers a ski-slope chauffeur service for all catered chalet bookings if current restrictions allow. Operated by the hosts and management between the hours of 08.30-10.15 and 16.00 - 21.30. We offer drops to the following lifts: Super-Morzine (for Ardent, Avoriaz and the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil), Pleney or Nyon (for Morzine and Les Gets).

We also offer drops and pick ups from a central point in Morzine, these will be made clear on request by your host. Outside of the above hours Chalet du Chene is well served by a free bus that departs every 7 minutes (in high season 15 mins outside of high season) between the chalet and central Morzine.

The chalet is a 20 minute walk from Morzine, taxi numbers are available should you wish to book taxis. Should adverse weather not allow us to deliver you to your chosen lift, the team will offer alternatives. GourmetSki is a fully registered transfer company and complies with all current regulations. Vehicles are insured within the terms of EU Law.

Airport transfers are managed by our provider ALPNAV, who adhere to current regulations.

10. Complaints:

In the unusual event of a complaint, these are best managed within the time of your holiday or correspondence to allow us to try to remedy the situation. We ask that all guests discuss this with management during your week. If this is not possible, you can contact us at enquiries@gourmetski.com or write to: Richard Lambert, 154 Chemin des Plagnettes, Morzine, 74110 France.
